About This Project

Het fascineert mij hoe wij als soort aan onze overtuigingen en ons gedrag komen. Alles ontspruit uit ons brein. Die prachtige gevoelige supercomputer. Al heel vroeg hebben anderen daar als het ware schotten, openingen en horden geplaatst. Ter beperking, stimulans of… bescherming? Waarom vinden we -vaak heel stellig- wat we vinden? Fascinerend. Daar gaat mijn nieuwe kunstwerk over. Het brein, gedachtenstromen en afbakeningen.

Formaat 63x63x10cm. Acryl, Linnen XL doek, sisal touw en houtflakes.

It fascinates me how we as a species, come to our beliefs and behavior. Everything sprouts from our brain. That beautiful sensitive supercomputer. Very early on, others have placed baffles, openings, and hurdles there, as it were. To restrict, stimulate or… to protect? Why do we think -often very firmly- what we think? Fascinating. That’s what my new artwork is about. The brain, stream of thoughts and demarcations.
